I was so sad to hear about your diagnosis and the circumstances around it. You must be so scared.
I want you to know that you WILL get through this! You must dig deep down inside of yourself and find the strength to carry on... even when you want to curl up in a ball and go away. Your world has been rocked and your life has changed in ways that you cannot even fathom right now.
I know it is hard to believe, but this experience will make you a better person. You'll feel more connected to the earth and the people who inhabit it. Innocence is lost, but there is great beauty in the wisdom you're gaining.
Find your sacred space and don't let anyone or anything take it away from you. Go there often. Put your your fear and anger in a box and allow the gods-that-be to take them away from you.
Kiss your babies every single minute they'll let you. Hug your husband until it's uncomfortable. Look around and you'll see the other women who have gone through this - you'll recognize the connection in the split second your eyes make contact. Watch the sunset. Watch the sunrise. And, if you have to... cry in the shower.
