Nausea, Wigs and Water... oh my!

Weird thing today-  I'm not feeling so good. (For the record, I felt great yesterday). My bones are very achy, the water tastes funny,  I'm a little queasy oh, and I all of a sudden don't know how to spell. Damn cancer.

On a totally different note, getting dressed has become a tricky proposition - now, I need to not only figure out which wig, wig/hat combo to wear, I also have to figure out what to wear that will coordinate well with it. If I were a braver girl, I'd simply bear my bald head in all my glory.... but, I just can't. I feel naked without something covering my head! Damn cancer.

So, as a little pick-me-up today, I decided to find some quotes on courage. Here are a few that I found:
  • "Courage is the power to let go of the familiar" - Raymond Linquist
  • "Promise me you'll always remember: you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think" - Christopher Robin to Pooh
  • "Confront the dark parts of yourself and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing. Use the pain as a fuel, as a reminder of your strength."  - August Wilson
**My self-talk for today: I'm strong and can survive this. I will be a better mother, wife and person as a result of this experience.**

Congratulations to Justin and Allison on their beautiful new baby girl, Zoe!
