I adore my children. I can't imagine going through this without them.

Zacary is four - "and a half and a quarter, mom" - and incredibly sensitive to the world around him. When we told him I was going to shave my head because my hair was falling out, he wanted to shave his head, too (he didn't, and I'm glad). When I told him I would be very tired from the medicine that's making me better, he told me it would be ok and that he would loan me Meow if I needed him. Every day, he compliments me on something I'm wearing, "I like your hat, mom, the flower is really pretty on it" and just this morning, "those are pretty shoes, mom". I'm certain this experience will shape him into an amazing adult. The other day I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up he said, "a fireman like Uncle Bill". I said, "I thought you could be a doctor and cure cancer", he said, "Oh yeah, I'll do that, mom"... and you know what, I think he will!

Caleb, on the other hand, being only 21 months, is a completely different human being. Just looking at him heals me. He has the most calming spirit. His easy laugh, his curiosity for all things, his love of all things sports (have NO idea where he got that one from), makes me smile.

Both my children are incredibly social and LOVE the people in their life. They're both passionate about the things that interest them and I am blown away that I had a part in making them.

**Today I give thanks for my family. I'm thankful to have a husband who is a caring, passionate and strong man, who is helping me to raise two wonderful children. I'm thankful for their health. I'm thankful for our home. I know without this strong base, I wouldn't survive my battle. Thank you, thank you, thank you.**
