Tomorrow will be my third chemo treatment which takes me to the halfway point of this portion of treatment. WoHoo! Sometime during this cycle I'll get more imaging to make sure the lump is going down (feels like it is to me). If it goes down enough, it'll minimize surgery. So... cross your fingers, say your prayers, and burn your sage ... let's hope it's working.
On another note, seems like the shock of it all has relaxed for me, and for everyone around me. What started as, "Cancer? Holy Sh*t!" has now turned into, "Cancer, Schmancer - I got this kicked". I still can't believe I'm going through this, but the fact of the matter is that thanks to the research and new drugs, it's much easier to tolerate. So - I'd like to thank Cyndi and Tracy for participating in the Susan Koman 3 Day Walk for the Cure on my behalf. They each have pledged to raise $2300. Without support like this, research wouldn't be nearly as advanced and my fight with cancer could be a different story. (Tracy has reached her goal and Cyndi is ALMOST there... to contribute, click here) Thank you. Thank you.
If you're thinking about me next week and have some words of inspiration, please send them along. It's a tough week for me and your support really helps me push through. I know it'll pass, but during it I feel beaten down.
