It's been less than 48 hours since my lumpectomy and I'm pretty darn stinky. And bloated. And a little nauseous. Oh, and did I mention that I have a drain hanging out of my body? It's kinda gross. I have to empty it every 6 to 8 hours. God bless nurses who do this for a living...
So, I'll be less stinky when I shower tonight. But showering requires the assistance of my hubby who will manage the drain and change my dressings. God bless my hubby who didn't sign on to do this for a living....
This too shall pass.
PS For the record, surgery was a breeze compared to going through chemo.
Yes God Bless Your Wonderful Hubby!!
ReplyDeleteTonight You Will Feel Much Better!!

ReplyDeleteHe did sign up for this, for better or for worse.
ReplyDeleteBut it does show the great love of a man who will stick with you through the hardest of times. That is what the meaning of love truly is.
