The earth beneath my feet is solid. With each step I hear the crunching of leaves. Up above in the canopy I can see the flicker of sunlight. The golden grass sways as the breeze ebbs and flows and ebbs again. There is no better place to be than right here, right now, on this piece of earth.
Up ahead, there is laughter and my insides are being pulled in that direction. It's like a string attached to my soul. I take a moment to breathe in crisp mountain air and feel it tickle my toes from deep within. Following the laughter, I take note of every single detail around me - not wanting this moment to end. The trees that have butterscotch-smelling sap, the moss growing on a fallen limb, the rugged peeks of the Flatirons closely following behind me. Up ahead, my heart is walking around in three directions.
I'm floating on the love in my life and the magical place in which I live.
Reading that brought tears to my eyes. I am so proud of you. Have you always had that gift inside you? . . . to be able to write this way? Wow! Your writing is VERY powerful. I could feel myself walking with you, smelling the sap, and feeling the love inside that I have for my husband and children that pulls on me every day.
ReplyDeleteYou are a beautiful person - inside and out. You MUST write a book. Get busy.
Loooooving you . . . forever.
